GRANDSTANDING
From section 15, it seemed like the boos drowned out the cheers initially, but the cheers overcame the "blinded by the NY" birds when Johnny brilliantly stepped back from the batter's box and tipped his helmet to each section of the park, and finally to his cheering mix of ex-teammates and Boston newcomers.
